See You At The Pole!

IMG_4166.JPG

This morning groups all over the world gathered for an event where prayer and fellowship are emphasized.

See You at the Pole began in 1990 as a grass roots movement with ten students praying at their school. Over twenty years later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September.

See You at the Pole is simply a prayer rally where students meet at the school flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God.
See You at the Pole is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event.

The 2017 See You at the Pole theme is Fix Our Eyes.

The theme verse is Hebrews 12:2 – fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.

From that very first year in 1990, See You at the Pole has been about one simple act—prayer. Today, SYATP is still about students humbling themselves, turning to God, and interceding for their generation.

We had some attendance results from the different See You At The Pole events happening near us, Mount Vernon had 60 students and 7 Adults in attendance and Fredericktown  had 30 students and 10 Adults in attendance.

We also discussed an article from Focus on the Family about Prayer and the difference prayer makes.  We discussed prayer and God’s nature, what prayer is not, and what prayer is.  If you would like to read through the article, click HERE.

It’s Love Note Day!

(from www.daysoftheyear.com) Love Note Day is a day to tell someone you love them, by writing a message of love in the form of a note.

This day can be most effective when the recipient of the message isn’t aware that Love Note Day even exists! A loving message will come as a pleasant surprise.

Love Note Day can be for any family members or for long time friends, too. It’s the perfect day to make someone feel appreciated through just a few heartfelt words.

Love is an important emotion, make sure to tell people you love them.
