Food For The Hungry celebrates the 2020 Elementary School Collection

WNZR’s Marcy Rinehart talked with several volunteers with Food For The Hungry about this year’s Elementary School Collection. All schools in Knox County participated in collecting food and funds to support our campaign.

The Psi Iota Xi Elementary School Collection to benefit Food For The Hungry is happening this week!

WNZR’s Marcy Rinehart talked with Sandra Fithian of Psi Iota Xi about their involvement with Food For The Hungry.

The sorority coordinates the Elementary School collection for all Knox County Schools.
The collection is happening this week – 11/16 – 11/20!

Sandra shares details of the collection, the Top 10 Food Items needed at the local food pantries and how the classes across the county are competing.
The top contributing class in each school (12 total) will win a pizza party that includes pizza, drinks and delivery TO their classroom! The top student collectors in each school will be part of the Food For The Hungry broadcast on 12/11.

Let it Go!

Wesley joined Hunter on the show this morning. They kicked off the show with some things from Elementary School that might make you feel a little nostalgic. If you want to see some of the things on that list, click HERE.

Wednesday was also Let it Go day, but not as in the movie Frozen. It was a day to reflected on some things that we are holding onto, that would be healthy to let go. Not only will letting go of these things be healthy, but will make us overall happier.
