Festival of Trees Supports Food For The Hungry

The slogan for Food For The Hungry is “Working together to care for our neighbors.” There are so many community events is Knox County to support Food For The Hungry.

Audrey Spearman is hosting one of these events called The Festival of Trees. This is a great event to raise money and food for Food For The Hungry in a fun and unique way.

Food For The Hungry has a legacy of giving in Knox County. Joe and Marcy Rinehart share their passion for this project.

Joe and Marcy Rinehart have been involved with the Knox County Food For The Hungry drive since 1991. They stay involved because the project is making a difference.

The 9th Annual Turkey Trot is coming on Thanksgiving morning!

WNZR’s Marcy Rinehart talked with Scott Burgess with We Run MV about the 9th annual Turkey Trot event.

Race starts at 9am
First place trophies will be given out to the first female, male and dog to pass over the finish line.

MVNU Theatre presents ā€œLittle Womenā€ for 3 performances in Thorne Performance Hall.
Adapted by Scott Davidson, Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women follows the triumphs and tribulations of the March Sisters during the American Civil War. We follow the lives of Meg, the eldest; Jo, the high-spirited tomboy; Amy, the self-centered beauty; and gentle Beth. This adaptation is true to the beloved book as we watch the March Sisters grow up before our very eyes while surrounded by a loving family and new friends. Audiences of all generations will enjoy acquainting — or reacquainting — themselves with this timeless tale.

All performances take place in Thorne Performance Hall in the R.R. Hodges Chapel on the main campus of Mount Vernon Nazarene University.

Performances are November 14th, 15th, and 16th at 7:30 PM.

Pricing: Adult, $10; MVNU ID, $8; Military ID, $8; Children Under 18, $5.
