Director of NAMI Dodie Melvin and their New Faith Based Initiative

This morning we talked with Dodie Melvin who is the director of NAMI. NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Dodie spoke about their new faith based initiative for suicide prevention resources for faith leaders and how to get involved. She also shared how important it is to get church leaders involved.

4-H and The New 4-H Building

Knox County 4-H Update

WNZR’s Rachel Rinehart talked with Andrea Rees, OSU Extension Educator for 4-H Youth Development. They discussed what is happening with 4-H including online registration, deadlines for some upcoming competitions and benefits of getting involved with 4-H. Andrea also shared an update on the construction of the new 4-H building on the Knox County Fairgrounds.

The Morning Thing shined a spotlight on the Mount Vernon Salvation Army to celebrate their 130th Anniversary.
We talked with Captain Christine Moretz about how the Salvation Army serves our community.
