Mount Vernon Nazarene University moved to an indoor mask mandate as of 6:00 last night.
MVNU says it implemented the protocol as they examined positivity rates, the number of students in quarantine, the severely contagious nature of the Delta variant, and the high infection rates at other colleges. MVNU hopes to slow the spread of the virus, limit the number of students placed in quarantine, and keep students in the classroom and on campus for the entire semester.
Face coverings will be required in all indoor public spaces, regardless of vaccination status.
