The Garden Tour marks the first time Kari Jobe has toured in nearly three years. The tour will visit 30 cities around the country.

Sonfest 2017 – Plumb

This morning we talked with Plumb, headlining artist of Sonfest 2017. Plumb talked about her start into Christian music and how God has continuously opened doors for her career. She also talked about some of her favorite people to work with when writing and making music. Meet the Team – Sonfest 2017 at MVNU!

WNZR’s Meet the Team feature this week shines the spotlight on Sonfest 2017 at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
The annual event will be held this Saturday, 9/23 from Noon – 10pm.

The Morning Thing Fave 5 – our favorite theater experiences

All week long, we have been talking about the upcoming productions from MTVarts.
“How I Became A Pirate” will hit the Memorial Theater stage this weekend: Friday 9/15 at 7:30pm and Saturday 9/16 at 2pm and 7:30pm.
“Lion King Junior” will take the stage next weekend: Friday 9/22 at 7:30pm, Saturday 9/23 at 7:30pm and Sunday 9/24 at 2pm.

It is National Kids Take Over the Kitchen Day!

Today, The Morning Thing celebrated kids taking over kitchens all across the country. Today is a day when kids can use their favorite recipes and make a meal for their family!  (Adult supervision and assistance as required for the younger bakers and chefs in the house!)

The Young Chefs Academy (YCA) sponsors this special day. The objective of their mission is to empower kids and teens to become more actively involved in the planning, preparation, and cooking of meals.  The YCA is fostering family bonds and actively fighting the battle against the many serious health and social issues related to youth’s eating habits in today’s time.

Many families in the United States are facing hard times. Hurricanes, fires and other disasters are making life very difficult for many people.
So what do we do in hard times? How do we have faith?

We found a list of encouraging bible verses for times of trial.
(from www.biblestudytools.com) Jesus tells us that we will have troubles in this world, it’s a guarantee. However, He also promises that we have victory through our faith because Jesus Christ has overcome the world. If you are facing hard and uncertain times, you can be encouraged to press on knowing that you are an overcomer! Use the below Bible verses about having faith in hard times to lift your spirits and to share with others questioning God’s goodness.
