The Morning Thing Fave 5 – Happy Memories

This week for The Morning Thing Fave 5, we decided to beat the winter blues by sharing one of our happiest memories. When we focus on the positive things in life, we can overcome anything that the day has for us. We hope that you can reminisce on the “good times” and fight your winter blues.

Enjoy our Morning Thing Fave 4 (we didn’t have a guest co-host this week, sorry).

What do you do for “Me Time”?

The bible is clear about the need to take time for ourselves, time to rest and recharge.

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” – 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV

God created a Sabbath for a purpose – to rest!

The Morning Thing shared 20 great ideas for “Me Time”.  Cyndi Barber is a writer for imom.com
Cyndi said that she learned that spending time on herself was an investment in her future self and the overall health of her family. It opened her up to greater creativity, productivity, and concentration. It balanced out the selflessness that being a mother required. Me time helped Cyndi to be a better parent because it regenerated energy levels and the ability to fully engage and connect with her family.
