The Earth Day celebration is going on NOW at the Brown Environmental Center!

earth day

Get WILD at the Brown Family Environmental Center from 12 – 4 p.m. TODAY, 4/21!

The Columbus Zoo, Ohio Wildlife Center, Ohio Bird Sanctuary, St. Francis Center for Wildlife, and Midwest Biodiversity Institute will all be there with live animals to “meet.”

Build a bluebird box, bat house, or a home for native bumblebees.  Everything you build, you will take home with you.

Vendors will have good stuff to purchase:  Kenyon Farm (eggs), Broken Oak Farm (honey), Yellow Bird Food Shed (CSA shares), Our Farm (veggies & herbs), Potter’s Field Farm (native wildflowers).

These Community Partners will have hands-on games and activities:

  • Ariel-Foundation Park
  • Knox County Head Start and Gambier Child Center
  • Knox County Parks
  • Knox County Recycling and Litter Prevention
  • ODNR
  • Public Library of Mt. Vernon and Knox County
  • SPI
  • OCVNs
  • Master Gardeners
  • Yellow Flower, Storyteller
  • Kenyon’s Office of Community Partnerships
  • Kenyon Review

Be sure to stay awhile to tap your toes to the live music, and Truckin’ Delicious, a local food truck, will have tasty treats for sale. View their interesting menu items.
