It’s World Animal Day!

October 4th is World Animal Day! This is the international day of celebrating animal rights and welfare. It got it’s start in 1925, and is held annually on October 4th, which is the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. Be sure to give your pets some extra love today!

Animals have some great health benefits for us, both physically and mentally! News In Health, the newsletter of the National Institute of Health, wrote about the power of pets. Cute and cuddly dogs and cats help us, but so do pets like fish and guinea pigs!
