Get WILD at the Brown Family Environmental Center from 12 – 4 p.m. TODAY, 4/21!
The Columbus Zoo, Ohio Wildlife Center, Ohio Bird Sanctuary, St. Francis Center for Wildlife, and Midwest Biodiversity Institute will all be there with live animals to “meet.”
Build a bluebird box, bat house, or a home for native bumblebees. Everything you build, you will take home with you.
Vendors will have good stuff to purchase: Kenyon Farm (eggs), Broken Oak Farm (honey), Yellow Bird Food Shed (CSA shares), Our Farm (veggies & herbs), Potter’s Field Farm (native wildflowers).
These Community Partners will have hands-on games and activities:
Be sure to stay awhile to tap your toes to the live music, and Truckin’ Delicious, a local food truck, will have tasty treats for sale. View their interesting menu items.

The girls involved in Girl Scout Troop 1691 from Fredericktown are participating in a project to raise awareness to help homeless families.
Did you know that approximately 30,000 children face a form of homelessness in Ohio?
The girls planned 3 events:

The girls are accepting donations tonight at their Sleep OUT location – Waterford United Methodist Church, 20595 Waterford Road in Fredericktown.
Here are some suggested donations (new items please):
For the KITCHEN : trash cans, pots, pans, silverware, can opener, dishes, bowls, cups, spatulas, utensils, kitchen towels, dishcloths, dish soap, SOS pads and sponges.
For the LINEN CLOSET: towels, washcloths, soap, blankets (twin or larger), pillows and sheets.
For the BATHROOM: toilet brushes, shower curtains, shower hooks, toilet paper, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, brushes and deodarant.
CLEANING SUPPLIES: buckets, dust pans, paper towels, spray cleaners, Pinesol type cleaners, mops, brooms, plungers and laundry soap.

The bottom line for all of the points above is that acceptance of our husbands can make our marriage stronger. Instead of focusing on what you would like to change about your husband, focus on his good points. If there’s something about your husband you can’t accept, talk to a trusted friend or counselor before you approach him. Talk to your husband in a kind way, even if you feel you need to be firm. Finally, while we can’t change our husband, we can change ourselves and our attitude toward him.
