WNZR’s Meet the Staff Monday with Ethan Hershberger

WNZR’s Meet the Staff Monday feature is back! 13 NEW DJs are joining the WNZR Staff this month!

Today, we introduce you to Ethan Hershberger. He is a Freshman Worship Arts Major from Wooster, OH.

Ethan talks about his journey to MVNU and WNZR. He remembers taking a station tour with Joe Rinehart and describes it as “magical”!

Ethan is active on campus. He is part of the Collegians Chorale, Una Voce Acapella group and plays on the MVNU E-Sports Team.

 He shares some memories from this year and some of his favorites, including collecting comic books.

Ethan talks about how God has been working in his life, including his search to find the real Jesus. His favorite bible verse is Ephesians 3:20.

Today, we introduce you to Braden Taylor. He is a Freshman Communication & Media (Digital Media) Major from Lima, OH.

Braden’s parents and grandparents attended MVNU. His grandfather was a professor! He got interested in radio because he heard about WNZR from MVNU Graduate and Radio Personality Obadiah Haybin, who was his Dad’s roommate in college.

Braden is part of the MVNU Theater Club and will be in the spring musical, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He also helps tutor students through the Hola Program.

He shares his favorite food and WNZR Artists and talks about memories he has made here at MVNU.

Braden talks about how God has been working in his life. His favorite bible story is the story of Joseph. He likes the lesson of that story – that God knows better than us!

Today, we introduce you to EJ Temple. He is a Junior transfer student majoring in Communication & Media (Digital Media). He is from Mt. Gilead, OH.

EJ shares some of his favorites including music, foods and what he loves to do on the weekends. His favorite person is his Grandma, Mary Brown.

Wyatt got interested in radio when he was young. Both his Dad and Grandpa worked in radio!
He got started with our WNZR Video Team and enjoys calling volleyball games.

Wyatt is very active here at MVNU. He is on the Bowling Team and plays Esports. He talks about how the Bowling Team just took 2nd place in the Crossroads League Championship!

He shares some of his favorite foods and artists and memories he has made here at MVNU.

Wyatt talks about how God has been working in his life. His favorite verse is Jeramiah 29:11

The United Way of Knox County’s FREE Tax Assistance Program is back!

WNZR’s Marcy Rinehart talked with Katie Ellis, Executive Director and Walt Lewis, Resource Navigator for the United Way of Knox County.

They shared the good news that the free tax assistance program is back for 2025. Katie shared how volunteers and donors make this program available for the residents of Knox County.
Walk shared the details of how to make an appointment and how to prepare for the appointment.
This program is designed for low to moderate income families – individuals with an income of $35,000 or less or married couples with a $95,000 income or less.
The program runs from February 3, 2025 – April 10, 2025.
Appointments are required. Call (740) 397-5721 to schedule your free tax appointment.
The United Way office is located at 305 East High Street in Mount Vernon.
