The Mount Vernon Music & Arts Festival kicks off on Thursday in downtown Mount Vernon.
WNZR’s Marcy Rinehart was joined by Grant Pepper from Knox Pages in an interview session with Joe Bell, Mount Vernon Music & Arts Festival Co-Director.
He shared details about this year’s festival including the focus on visual arts.
He shared some exciting news about some new features including the Kids Zone, Chalk the Block, Balloon Sculptor, and the Festival Wood Challenge.

A unique quilt show will be part of this year’s Mount Vernon Music & Arts Festival
WNZR’s Wesley Boston talked with Laura Tabbut about MVNU’s special exhibition of quilts at the Schnormeier Gallery.
She shared details about the “Stitched” exhibition and how MVNU’s Art Gallery worked with the Knox County Quilt Guild.
She shares the exciting story of how the collection was compiled from local, talented quilters.
New quilters to those that have been quilting for 50 years are represented in this show. The quilts will appeal to a large audience of all ages.

Cheerleading takes a new twist at this year’s Mount Vernon Music & Arts Festival
