2nd Annual Wiener Dog Races Bring Excitement to the Knox County Fair
WNZR’s Eric Brown talked with Tahlia about her dogs that participated in the Second Annual Wiener Dog Races at the Knox County Fair. Her dogs, Stella and Sterling, came in 1st and 2nd place!

WNZR visits the Knox County 4H Booth Building
WNZR’s Daniel Russell talks with Luci Byler and Jackie Weisenfelder from the Knox County 4H Booth Building! They highlight activities that will be happening this week.
All of the booths are decorated for Christmas in July to celebrate the theme for the Knox County Fair.
Stop by at 4pm for the 4H at 4 activities! WNZR is positioned right out the 4H Booth Building so go see them and come see us!
WNZR visits with the Knox County Veterans Services Office at the Knox County Fair
WNZR stopped at the Knox County Veterans Service Office booth at the Knox County Fair! WNZR’s Daniel Russell talked with their Executive Director, Kevin Henthorn. Kevin talked about their services and how they want to reach out to veterans and their families in our community.
You can find them on the midway, east of the grand stands!
Kevin also shared details about Wednesday at the fair. It is veterans day and all veterans get in free. There will be a special veterans tribute before the national anthem at 7pm! This year’s tribute will be for the American Flag.

WNZR shines the spotlight on the 2025 Knox County Junior Fair Board, Species Ambassadors and Liaisons
WNZR talked with members of the 2025 Junior Fair Board about their experience, responsibilities and what they are learning in their positions. We also recognize the 2025 Species Ambassadors and Liaisons. The students shared about the process of their competitions, memories they have of the Fair and how this experience is impacting their future. We congratulate these amazing young leaders!
