We got the chance to speak with Dr. Bob Tocheff, MVNU Professor of Music, about their upcoming performance of Handel’s Messiah!
This is MVNU’s 57th performance and Bob has been directing for the past 35 years.
He shares with us an overview of the program and dives a little into each of the three parts. He also explains how this event helps MVNU students and how important it can be.
Some turned radio into a profession while others used the tools they learned to help them in the professional world outside the communications industry.
It was heartwarming to hear how this radio station and its ministry have impacted their lives.
Even the man who made sacrifices to help start WNZR, Bill Bridges (pictured with Joe and Marcy Rinehart) gave a short testimony.

They shared about what brought them to MVNU and how they made their way to the WNZR Staff. We shared memories and lessons learned while being at WNZR and MVNU. They talked about what it meant to be part of WNZR’s 39-year legacy. They also gave advice for students what are currently studying in the communication and media field. All 4 gentlemen are working at The River in Columbus.

It is Homecoming weekend here at MVNU! We are super excited as there are many events going on around campus. Since it is Homecoming, we decided that for our Friday Favorites we would share our favorite memories from our time here at MVNU!

MVNU Graduate Brian White joined the conversation to talk about his time at MVNU and WNZR. He shared how God’s leading allowed him to become an award-winning songwriter. Brian will host a workshop on Saturday 11/15 at 2:30pm in Thorne Performance Hall. The workshop is titled, “So You Wanna Be A Songwriter: Helpful Hints to Kickstart Your Songwriting Journey”. The featured guests will be Brian White (Class of 1979), Karyn Williams, and Jesse Reeves.

This month, Dr. Castleman shares about enrollment, the Tragedy Into Triumph event, and some ongoing construction projects! He also gives us an up to date look on some staff changes and Homecoming!
MVNU student Zane Menzie is the director of the production of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The show is taking place this weekend at the Thorne Performance Hall at MVNU.
Zane shares a little about his acting history, the show, and what it looks to be the director!
