MVNU presents The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe this weekend!

Are you looking for some fun entertainment for your family?

Mount Vernon Nazarene Theatre presents “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe”.
Dramatized by Joseph Robinette from the story by C.S. Lewis and directed by Serra Barrett.
The play will be in Thorne Performance Hall for 4 performances:
Friday, 11/2
Saturday, 11/3
Thursday, 11/8
Friday, 11/9
All shows begin at 7:30 p.m.

This new dramatization of C.S. Lewis’ classic, set in the land of Narnia, faithfully recreates the magic and mystery of Aslan, the great lion, his struggle with the White Witch, and the adventures of four children who inadvertently wander from an old wardrobe into the exciting, never-to-be-forgotten Narnia. The intense action features chases, duels and escapes as the witch is determined to keep Narnia in her possession and to end the reign of Aslan. This story of love, faith, courage and giving, with its triumph of good over evil, is a true celebration of life.

This production runs approximately 90 minutes and is suitable for children. However, the length of the production may be challenging for smaller children.

Tickets: $10 Adult; $8 with an MVNU ID, military ID and for children under 18.

Dr. Henry Spaulding shares an MVNU Presidential Update with WNZR

Tyler’s Light is coming to Mount Vernon on Thursday 11/1

After a college football injury, Tyler Campbell struggled with a prescription pain medication addiction and later turned to heroin, which cost him his life.

His father, Wayne Campbell is now sharing Tyler’s story to help kids and parents learn more about addiction and preventative resources.

Wayne talked with WNZR’s Wesley Boston about his presentation “Tyler’s Light”.

MVNU Pioneer Faculty and Staff celebrate 50 years

10/12/18 marks the 50th Anniversary of the first day of classes at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.

MVNU plans a special chapel for Friday, 10/12/18

Friday, October 12th marks a significant moment as Mount Vernon Nazarene University celebrates a special 50th Anniversary. To commemorate the very first day of classes, a special chapel service will be held at 10:20 a.m. on Friday, October 12th. Reflections on October of 1968 will be shared and celebrated.
