They talked about the 8th Annual Snowflake Gala to benefit Food for the Hungry, plus other collections that will happen on campus this holiday season.

Don’t miss the Christmas Auctions in Centerburg and Danville to benefit Food For The Hungry

Did you know that there are 2 auctions happening in Knox County to benefit Food For The Hungry?  Did you know that these auctions have beautiful Christmas wreaths and other Christmas décor up for bid?

Don’t miss your chance to bid at the First Knox National Banks in Centerburg and Danville. The auctions run from Friday, 11/23/18 through Noon on Saturday, December 12/8/18.
All proceeds from these auctions benefit Interchurch Social Services in both villages.

MVNU encourages the campus community to get involved with Food For The Hungry

WNZR’s Marcy Rinehart talked with Catie Hayes from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Catie is the Director of Community and International Ministries. She helps to lead the Knox Needs initiative on campus to raise funds and awareness of the Food For The Hungry Program.

Food For The Hungry helps Centerburg!

Sheryl O’ Neil is the Branch Manager for the Centerburg office of Interchurch Social Services. Sheryl talked with WNZR’s Marcy Rinehart about the need in Centerburg.

On average, Sheryl is seeing 45 families per month! She shared how the funds from Food For The Hungry is helping meet the needs of these families.
She also shared her goals for 2018.

The Knox County Career Center is hosting a live auction of some incredible themed baskets. All items have been donated, so all proceeds benefit the 2017 Food For The Hungry Drive! There are 7 themed baskets, including a special one for Ohio State Fans!
These baskets are amazing, ranging in value from $200 to over $2,600!

Foodstock 2017 presents a Beatles Tribute to benefit Food For The Hungry

Foodstock is back at the Memorial Theater to benefit the 2017 Knox County Food For The Hungry Drive.

Elixir Presents sponsors a Beatles Tribute to Sgt. Pepper.

The event will be Thursday, December 7 at 7pm.

The Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County supports Food For The Hungry

The Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County is supporting the Knox County Food For The Hungry drive in a unique way. Their “Food for Fines” campaign is underway for 2017! The libraries around the county are collecting food and monetary donations to pay off library fines. It’s a great way to make a donation to Food For The Hungry!
