The Knox County Service Club Challenge to benefit Food For The Hungry is back!

WNZR talked with Carol Grubaugh today about the exciting Knox County Service Club challenge to collect donations to benefit Food For The Hungry.
Carol is Executive Director for the Knox County Chamber of Commerce, Knox County Convention and Visitors Bureau and Main Street Mount Vernon.

She shared the details of this challenge. 5 clubs are participating: Lions Club, Kiwanis Club, Psi Iota Xi, Rotary Club and Soroptimist Club.

She also shares why it is so important for people to get involved by donating and volunteering this year.

Shari Miller talks about the two different auctions taking place this year. You can participate in a Facebook Auction of donated themed baskets, service offerings, gift certificates and more. The Facebook Auction will be held from 12/5 until 11:59PM on 12/11.
On Saturday, 12/4, a live auction will be held at 3pm in the newly renovated Council Chambers (formerly Senior Citizen Building). This will be a scrumptious food auction. Donations can be dropped off at Council Chambers between 12pm and 3pm on December 4th – the day of the Fredericktown Christmas Walk.
