For this week’s Meet the Team feature, we shine the spotlight on TAC, the Teen Advisory Council. This group of young people are connected to New Directions of Knox County.
The Teen Advisory Council focuses on preventing unhealthy behaviors among Knox County youth before they begin. TAC students from all Knox County schools plan and execute prevention projects. They actively work to end teen dating violence and sexual violence, as well as the prevention of alcohol, tobacco and substance use among peers. TAC members are ambassadors of healthy, safe, equal, and non-violent relationships among their peers and in the community.
WNZR’s Lilly Buckley and Rachel Rinehart had a chance to chat with 7 TAC members. Click HERE to listen to their conversation.
