Everyone has a dream. Maybe your’s is to become the next superhero, maybe you want to travel around the world or make a difference in your community. Whatever your dream is today is the day to get started! Its Make Your Dreams Come True Day!

This special day did not have a specific founder or a founding date. Make Your Dreams Come True Day celebrates everyone who reaches for their dreams and perseveres through trials and obstacles.

We also dove into the Biblical perspective of chasing dreams. According to hearitfirst.com there are seven reasons to chase your dreams, each one can be found in the story of King David. Read his full story in 1 Samuel.

#1 God Choose you for this dream.
David was minding his own business, caring for the family’s flock, when God chose him to become the next king if Israel.

#2 God supernaturally gifts you with what you need for this dream.
Throughout David’s journey, God gave him the strength and abilities needed to press on through trails and tribulations. Whether is was defeating Goliath or hiding from Saul, David was able to pass each obstacle with God’s help.

#3 God allows trials to test your dream.
David’s life was not easy. He experienced many obstacles and trials along the way. He was on the run, battled a giant, lost his family, and much more. But, he trusted God through it all and God brought him through each and every time.

#4 God provides for you in the journey towards your dream.
David was provided for at every part of his journey, even if it was in unexpected ways. The Lord provided food, water, protection and guidance with every step.

#5 God gives you direction on how to go about your dream.
David consulted God at every turn and obstacle. With God’s guidance David was able to transition from a poor shepherd boy to the King of God’s people.

#6 God confirms your dream through other people.
David received affirmation of his call to be king through many people including his mentor Samuel, his friend Jonathan and his wife Abigail. God intentionally places people in our lives to affirm His call on our lives.

#7 God follows through with your dream in His timing.
David grew up a shepherd boy. But, in God’s timing became one of the most powerful people in the world at the time. It wasn’t easy and his journey took time. But, God’s timing and guidance was perfect in every way.
